spacecity salzburg

January - April 2001

The largest youth space competition ever in Austria: 3500 children and teenagers delved into the topics “moon – space – LunarSat”over the course of three months. Motivated by more than 50 live multimedia shows in their schools and three dozen media articles, the future space artists and engineers wrote, painted, did research and handicraft, performed, collected and presented – partially with remarkable input and complexity. The prime minister of the federal state of Salzburg as well as Austria’s only astronaut, Franz Viehboeck, attended the final price giving ceremony in the “House of Nature”.
