Several team members optimized the cabelling of the Thermal Control System, whilst others corded the cover of the spacesuit-simulator. Also On-Board-Data Handling was present and after attaching the camera to the inside of the Helmet we were able to receive pictures and a clear-cut voice the first time via the Operations X-terminal. At the End of the day also the Headset was working.
It was the first time the Helmet, Hard-Upper-Torso and the Personal Life Support System were fully combined with the Outer protective layer. So, at the early afternoon, the first wearing test of Aouda.X was started to find out what could become better and what is already satisfying. "/Many constructive ideas were unfolded, so the Field-Test will sure be a great success. It is extremely exciting to be a the cutting edge of the PolAres research programme these days -- we are literally creating a potential piece of future hardware for astronauts on Mars on day -- now that's something you can only do with a dedicated team which I am proud to be a part of/", stated the first Aouda.X suit tester, Ulrich Luger from the Austrian Space Forum, "/still only one day in the lab and then Aouda will be tested in the open field at the marble pit in Kramsach starting on 1^st of July -- and that's gonna be one of the pivotal moments for PolAres of 2009/."
